PROJECT PROPOSAL
I would like to
create 2 – 20 prints of life’s rawness and happenstances. Prints that make me
feel or were my feelings pouring at the time. I cannot shake these current
personality disorders and mental health struggles, so I will use them to the
best of my ability; hopefully more therapeutically vs. damaging/destructive. I just want to shoot and shoot and shoot until
I feel a release and in return capture spectacular imagery. I want to document
this era in my life that hurts so much and try and gain back my carefree, funny
and outgoing self and hope to see these personalities convey in and out from
image to image.
• How many finished pieces will you complete? 2 – 20
-How many images will you edit from? Over 400
-What photographic process will you employ? Digital
-What will be the dimensions of the finished work? 8 x 10 or smaller, probably 5 x 7.
-How do you plan on finishing the images? (framing) I will not be able to determine this until
I see the prints.
• Who will participate in the creation of the images? Nature/Strangers/Possibly myself
• Where will the image capture take place? Outdoors
• Who are some artists that use a similar capture process? I wouldn’t know, I am completely out of the
loop when it comes to a list of artists, especially ones to compare to myself.
I know everything can remind someone of something, I believe this is
circumstantial. Why is this important? Does it have to capture another artist,
or can it just by chance?
-What are the theories and/or philosophies that influence
your work? Myself, everyday struggles,
how I feel, why I started to do this in the first place. Me.
-What are the historical influences on your work? I guess the history of humans? Personality
disorders.
• What effect will the work have on your audience? I just want them to feel something, whether
it’s good or bad. Hopefully I can relate to someone who feels like I do or is
going through what I am, through this imagery.
-What conceptual elements does the work convey? Landscapes/large spaces
-What response does the work elicit? (emotional,
intellectual, etc…) Anxiousness, beauty,
ethereal emotions, miraculous emotions, sadness, euphoria, admiration, acceptance,
relevancy, natural.
